A multi-storey building with a rich cultural heritage is for sale in the strict center of Vrlika.
A house for renovation.
The house is located on the main road in Vrlika. It is of old construction, estimated to date back to 1905.
From the road, you enter the ground floor of the building, which used to have a commercial purpose.
The entrance to the courtyard and the first floor of the house is from the west side through beautiful stone stairs.
The first floor consists of three large rooms that were once used as bedrooms. Each room offers a view of the Vrlika field.
Through the hallway, you reach the second part of the building where there is a foyer and two more bedrooms. From the hallway connecting the foyer and the rooms, you can directly access the spacious courtyard.
In the seventies of the last century, the house was inhabited by teachers who taught the children of Vrlika.
If we were to go back to the year 1905, Vrlika was the center of agricultural activities, livestock farming, and trade. This rich region attracted people of various professions, including artists. One of these artists was Ivo Cippico (Ćipiko), a writer born in Kaštel Novi, who attended the Franciscan seminary in Sinj. Fascinated by the life of the common man in Dalmatian Zagora, his works were based on the search for the moral ideals of human beings who resist the hypocrisy of society.
Oral sources say that Cippico wrote his famous novel "Spiders" right in this house. A stone plaque is placed at the entrance to the house on the inside of the hallway saying, "Here wrote Spiders Ivo Cippico." However, no one knows who placed that plaque or when.
Rich in culture, exceptionally well-built, the house is suitable for developing tourism. Nearby are the post office, school, bank, kindergartens, and shops.
For an active holiday, there is also the Peruća Lake, which offers numerous activities.
Just a 20-minute drive away is the source of the Cetina River, and above the house, the view extends to the beautiful fortress of Prozor.
