Linardići is located on the western part of the island of Krk, called Šotovento. It is located in the interior of the island, a few kilometers above the coves of Vela and Mala Jana and Jarjacul, and above the Srednja vrata channel. Just a kilometer northwest is the village of Milohnić. A little further from Milohnići are Brzac and on the sea Glavotok. To the east are Bajčić, Nenadić and Poljica, and to the southeast are Žgaljić and Skrpčić. It is about 10 km from Malinska and Krk.
It is believed that Linardić was founded in the 15th century, more likely in the second half. It was apparently founded by the Linardić family, or several families of that surname, which is still the predominant surname in the village today. In the 15th century, the Krk prince Ivan VIII Frankopan settled about 200 Vlach families from Velebit in the area of Šotovento and Dubašnica. It is possible that on that occasion the prince gave the Linardić family the area where the village is located today as a replacement for the lost properties due to the migration of the Vlach (Murlach) population. The Linardić family originally lived in the town of Krk itself. Already at the beginning of the 16th century, the Jurasić family stood out alongside the Linardićs, but they were not of Vlach origin either, but, according to tradition, came from the island of Cres.
