Javorova Kosa itself (1016 m) is an inexhaustible reservoir of water for Ravna Gora and other surrounding towns, because six underground streams spring from its foothills, and a little further away the Dobra River. The construction of the Karolinska Road was of particular importance for the progress of Ravna Gora. Construction began in 1726, and Ravna Gora was built in 1732. The Karolinska Road was named after Emperor Charles, and stretched from Karlovac to Bakar. Its length was 105.6 km and trade was carried out along it.
