The exact date of Ravna Gora's founding is unknown: it is believed that its beginnings were before the construction of the Karolinska Road, first in Vrh (part of Ravna Gora), and then at the place where it is still located today. The place initially had several houses through which an ordinary road led. The seat of the present-day Municipality is at 177 Ivan Gorana Kovačića Street.
