Blaz Cove is a picturesque and secluded bay on the Rakljan side of the Raša River estuary, directly opposite Trget. It is located about 25 kilometers from Labin and Pula. The cove is famous for its five historic watermills that stood at sea level—an exceptional rarity. These mills, whose remnants are still visible today, were powered by several freshwater springs. The water was so pure that people from distant parts of Istria would travel there to fill their barrels. According to legend, the crown of King Tomislav, the first Croatian king, was hidden in Blaz Cove in the 10th century.
