The Church of the Mother of God in Tribaljsko polje is mentioned in history as a place of judgment according to the Vinodol Code, as evidenced by Glagolitic documents. An ancient Croatian necropolis from the 8th to the 11th century was discovered in the area of the tribal settlement Stranče with numerous exhibits that are kept in the Maritime and History Museum in Rijeka.
