ISTRIA, JURŠIĆI - A beautiful resort with six villas

Juršići is a place in the southwest of the Istrian peninsula. They are located in the municipality of Svetvinčenat in the Istria County. The department of the Čakavian Parliament operated in Juršići. Juršići also has a primary school, and in the nearby abandoned building, education in the mother tongue began back in 1876, when the priest Josip Velikanje organized classes in Croatian in his parish apartment. The last teacher of the Croatian school in the village of Juršići was Jakša Brdar in 1925, when the school was forcibly closed. In 1976, the people of Roverija erected a memorial plaque on this building for the 100th anniversary of the beginning of education in the mother tongue in Istria.
