Sveti Lovreč (Italian: San Lorenzo del Pasenatico) is a town and municipality of the same name in western Croatia. It is located in the Istrian County. The town has distinct features of a hillfort - preserved ramparts, towers and city gates from the Venetian period, a three-aisled parish church from the Romanesque period and a separate bell tower.[3] The old paved square with a pillar of shame and a city loggia have also been preserved. The loggia with columns rests on the southern wall of the parish church and contains a collection of Roman inscriptions - stone monuments.
The Municipality of Sveti Lovreč occupies the extreme southeastern part of the former Municipality of Poreč and is surrounded, starting from the north to the east, by the City of Poreč, the Municipality of Tinjan, to the west by the Municipality of Vrsar, while its southern border is formed by the coast of the Lim Channel.
