Here’s your chance! In Seketin, atop a hillside with an impressive view, lies a magnificent residence that hides centuries of stories. The history of this castle is incredibly rich — it is mentioned in books and archives as far back as the 13th century.

According to stories, the central part of the castle originally served as a Pauline monastery (Order of St. Paul the First Hermit), surrounded by vineyards. Evidence of this period can still be seen in the massive foundations of the building, visible in the impressive vaulted cellar, which has long been used as a wine cellar. Until the mid-20th century, the castle was surrounded by vineyards ideally oriented toward the south-southeast.

According to archival records from the city of Varaždin, in the 17th century the estate, in its then form, was owned by the noble Patačić family.

In the second half of the 19th century, Castle Seketin came into the possession of the noble Korff-Schmising-Kerssenbrock family.

The new owner at that time added a tower and chapel on the southwest side and a turret on the northeast corner of the manor. The tower was completed in 1888.

The entrance to the estate is on its southwest side, through a park/garden planted long ago as a small arboretum with several rare tree species.

In the first half of the 20th century, a successful entrepreneur from Varaždin purchased Castle Seketin as a wedding gift for his wife. Since then, the castle has remained in family ownership.

The location is exceptional — close to the city of Varaždin, yet secluded among the green rolling hills of Zagorje. The current estate includes two houses, a vaulted wine cellar, a chapel with a Vatican certificate allowing the performance of church ceremonies, a beautiful park and garden, and vast meadows and forest land. Both houses have been well maintained, as they remain in family ownership.

Ownership is clear, and the property is free of any encumbrances.
