Donji Karin is a small town located along the Karin Sea, within the city of Benkovac.
Together with Gornji Karin, which belongs to the city of Obrovac, it has about a thousand inhabitants. Donji and Gornji Karin are separated by the Karišnica River, which flows into the Adriatic Sea, or the Karin Sea.

The picturesque Karin is located along the coast of the smallest sea in the world, the Karin Sea. The small Karišnica River divides Karin into Gornji and Donji Karin. It is a place of rich history and magical natural surroundings.

If you decide to walk on the slopes above the Karin Sea, you will come across the remains of the Liburnian-Roman city of Corinium, where an amphitheater and a temple to the goddess Latra were built.

The Monastery of St. Mary the Immaculate preserves a stone cross made of wicker and a valuable library.

Five kilometers upstream on the Zrmanja River from Obrovac are the towers of Stari Obrovac and Klisina, in the town of Zelengrad there is the Zelengradina fortress, in Kruševo visit Cvija's castle, and tour the Kurjaković fortress in Obrovac.

In addition to historical sites, Karin offers beautiful beaches, clear sea and enjoyment of numerous natural benefits.
