Valtura, a village northeast of Pula, Ližnjan municipality. It is located near the edge of a flat area above the Budava Bay in the southeastern Pula area. Decorative stone is quarried and processed in the area (Valtura, quarry). The wider area was densely populated in prehistoric times: the most important of the hillfort settlements are Vizače (Nesactium), later a Roman settlement with a town-like appearance. Remains of Roman architecture and Roman inscriptions have been found in the settlement and its surroundings, and in 1899 a pre-Romanesque pluteus was found.
