ABOUT THE LOCATION:
Betina is a settlement on the northeastern coast of Murter, an island connected to the mainland by a bridge near Tisno. It is located 35 km west of Šibenik. The historical part of Betina was built on the slopes of the Artić peninsula, and over time the settlement expanded to the Zdrače bay and connected to the town of Murter. Today, there is no physical border between Murter and Betina. Guests can find accommodation in private apartments and rooms, and Betina also has a modern marina for accommodation and servicing of boats and yachts with a capacity of 100 berths.
Betina is widely known for its wooden shipbuilding. In the past, Betina was home to a large number of small family shipyards, and the shipbuilding tradition has survived to this day. The beautiful beaches and bays of Murter are a true oasis of peace and privacy, and there are numerous national parks and nature parks nearby. For example, the Kornati National Park, opposite the municipality of Tisno, is a collection of 89 islands, islets and cliffs that amaze with its impressive geography. The largest natural lake and the Vrana Nature Park are also nearby.
