"Malinska is the pearl of the Kvarner Islands" was written by the professor of the University of Vienna, L. Waagen in 1905. The first recorded guests were hunters, Austrian and Hungarian aristocrats and Rijeka patricians. They came to the vicinity of Malinska to hunt snipe and other feathered game.
