An ideal opportunity for all lovers of the forest, nature, hunting or hiking! Vinodol municipality is a municipality in Croatia. It is located in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Bribir. It includes four settlements: Drivenik, Tribalj, Grižane-Belgrade and Bribir in the Vinodol Valley. The Hreljin - Novi Vinodolski road runs through the municipality, parallel to the Adriatic highway. According to the 2021 census, Vinodol Municipality has a total of 3,226 inhabitants. Vinodol has been inhabited since the Stone Age, and in the 2nd century BC the Romans called it Vallis vineariae and built a road to Dalmatia through it. With the arrival of the Croats, Vinodol got its current name. The famous Frankopani and Zrinski noble families left a deep mark on the history of Croatia and Vinodol. The Frankopans built nine castles, whose representatives were the signatories of the Vinodol Code from 1288, the oldest preserved legal document in the Croatian language. On the territory of today's Vinodol there are three of the nine castles: Drivenik, Grižane and Bribir, and Badanj, which dates back to ancient times.
