Buzet is considered a city of truffles, and the largest white truffle in the world weighing 1.31kg was found in its vicinity, which entered the Guinness Book of Records in 1999. The price of a white truffle today ranges in thousands of euros per kilogram, often around 6,000 euros to 7,000 euros/kg or more for exceptional specimens.
