Omišalj is one of the oldest towns on the island of Krk, whose history dates back to the third century. It is also the first town you will encounter when you come to the island from the mainland, across the Krk Bridge. The town itself is built on a cliff, 80 meters above the sea, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Kvarner Bay. Omišalj has preserved its medieval urban structure, and the charming old center with its narrow streets is a pedestrian zone. Along the edge of the city cliff, there is a walled promenade, perfect for romantic evenings as it offers peace, quiet and a beautiful view of the small marina and coastal promenade.
