The port was also marked by the slightly more recent history of the second half of the 19th century, when in 1880 a steamship sailed into it for the first time. It was a ship belonging to Lolyd's company, it traveled from Istria to Dalmatia and back, and once a week it docked in Malinska. The municipality of Malinska-Dubašnica today gathers a number of smaller places of distinct cultural, ethnographic and natural wealth. The ethnozones of Dubašnica, Miholjice-Semenje and Sršići-Sv.
