The Dobrinj area has been a distinctly agricultural area for centuries. Cattle breeding and olive growing were also represented, as well as the exploitation of forest resources. The place is also known for its colorful national costumes, folklore events, the sopela school (a Krk wind instrument) and traditional local cuisine. This island center is dominated by indigenous stone houses and narrow stone streets that exude a sense of bygone times.

Not far from Dobrinje is the Biserujka cave, which amazes with its beauty and interesting sedimentary forms. It is the only cave on the island, of which there are more than 50, arranged to receive visitors. According to legend, the cave was named Biserujka (pearl) after the treasure that was found in it, which belonged to local pirates.
